● General Description:

The XFP-10GLR-OC192SR is designed for Ethernet applications and supports a link length of 26m on a standard FFDI-grade SMF. You will have the ability to expand this length to 300m when you are using 2000 MHz/km (OM3). The XFP can expand to 400m link when it is running on a 4700MHz*km SMF (OM4). These lines of modules work off the pay-as-you-populate model and has flexibility of interface choice.


● Types:

XFP are available with a variety of transmitter and receiver types, allowing users to select the appropriate transceiver for each link to provide the required optical reach over the available optical fiber type (e.g. multi-mode fiber or single-mode fiber). XFP modules are commonly available in several different categories:

► SR - 850 nm, for a maximum of 300 m

► LR - 1310 nm, for distances up to 10 km

► ER - 1550 nm, for distances up to 40 km

► ZR - 1550 nm, for distances up to 80 km

They comply with 10-Gigabit Ethernet 10GBASE-LR/LW per IEEE 802.3ae, SONET OC-192 /SDH and 10G Fibre Channel 1200-SM-LL-L. Digital diagnostics functions are available via a 2-wire serial interface, as specified in the XFP MSA.
